In harmony with yourself

Life isn’t about finding yourself.

I think your character isn’t something that you have no impact on, so you can’t wait until you’ll find out, who you really are. Nowadays it’s hard to find some time for getting to know yourself – to think about what your needs or future goals are. We’re overwhelmed by tons of advertisements and social norms that show us how we should live. It’s really hard to distinguish what we actually want from what has been imposed on us.

You’re the person who can create yourself.

Don’t let anything and anybody else decide how you behave, look or think like. You can do whatever you want, as long as you don’t hurt anybody. I think it’s important to be in harmony with yourself, so just stop for a moment and think about how you want your life to look like. Do you always want to behave as you’re expected to by lots of other people or do you want to be independent and listen to advice given only by your loved ones? It’s your life and you don’t have to make happy every person on Earth, giving up your own happiness.

Don’t worry about everyone’s opinion.

I think that the fear of being disliked is something that stops many people from doing something they really wanted to, but they were afraid of what other people would say about them. The truth is, other people will always be talking about other people – is it really that surprising?

Break free from your limitations.

Your limitations define the quality of your life. The way you look at things is the key, not the things themselves. Sometimes people, who blindly follow trends, who are afraid of standing out of the crowd, won’t be brave enough to make all of their dreams come true. Beliefs that many people persist in can be very restrictive. You can decide how important different limitations will be for you. It’s possible to change your beliefs – they are in your mind.

Start creating yourself.

You can’t turn back time, but changing your perception of the world can impact your entire future. I just want you to think about this – Do all your choices make you happy? Do you live the life you want? Do all of your relations with other people make your stronger? Are you proud of your diet? Can you say that you’re an independent person? Do you love yourself? Remember – the only person who can change you life is you.

Here you can find information about identifying your strengths.

I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

Thanks for reading! Every new day is another chance to change your life – good luck! Let me know in the comments, how would you finish the sentence: People who blindly follow trends are…

  1. Great article. Definitely agree that we need to stop worrying about what others mights think and become today the person we aspire to be. We are our own biggest limitations!

    1. Thanks! I’m happy that you’re eventually there and I keep my fingers crossed for you in the fututre!
      Kisses ❤️

  2. Yeah, people care too much about what others will think of them. I used to be like that, but thankfully I’m much more confident now and just live my life, if someone is not gonna like me then well..its their loss, isn’t it?

    Great article!

  3. I do think we have some molds to break, like the need to criticize others because they stand out.
We keep our molds and keep molding others so they stop creating what they really like to be.

  4. I love the positivity in this post! Working on not caring too much about others’ opinions is definitely something I still need to work on a lot. Hope you’re having a good week!

  5. This is a great article! I’m 33 and only recently have I really started to embrace who I am and who I want to be as a person – and it’s been so incredibly freeing!

    1. I’m happy for you! ❤️ You know, a lot of people spend their whole lives not even knowing what it’s like to embrace who they are, so don’t worry 😉

  6. “You’re the person who can create yourself.” This article represents a lot of what I have been going through. People will always have a say in how you should live your life or how you should behave. I have recently started to realize that it is my life and like you said, as long as I am not hurting anyone, I am going to unapologetically be myself. Thank you for sharing girl!

    1. Wow, more power to you! I keep my fingers crossed for you! ❤️ Thank you for such a heart-warming comment 😉
